The Countdown... I have two days and "wake up" (military terminology) until I leave for Italy. I'm pretty sure I am prepared. Thanks to my wonderful friends this last weekend I moved all of my stuff into my aunt's house and have sorted through it all. She has also given me the opportunity to store my car for a few months at her house and then she will sell it for me. So God is providing in ways I never imagined. And, eventhough it is hard to "feel" him right now, I have been seeing a bigger picture of who he is. I am currently excited to do some reading on my long plane flight. I have Blue Like Jazz, Emma, The Secret Life of Bees and I am still trying to finish Under the Tuscan Sun. I still need some ideas of what to bring the little boys. I want to come bearing gifts, but I have no ideas.

Today I was convinced to start a Blog, and I think it is a great idea! This is a good way for my friends to stay involved in my life while I live in Italy. Even though we live thousands of miles away from eachother, we can still be part of each others lives! From this moment, I am starting over. I have a whole new life now, and you get to be part of it! Well, you have to be, because I need all of you! I officially have 15 days and a "wake up" before I jump on a plane for Italy. Last week I was so incredibly nervous, almost talking myslef out of going because I was so terrified. But I woke up this week with a great attitude about it and now I cannot wait. As of today I have my beautiful passport, in its beautiful little blue book, numerous maps of Italy, a plane ticket, and a map of the world marked with all of the wonderful places I am going to see. Things to do include receiving my International Driver's License (how cool is that?!?), a new haircut, buy something for Elliot (2) and Tom (5) (I want to come bearing gifts so they love me from the start!), earn some good ol' cash, and figure out what I am going to do with all of my stuff I cannot bring with me.
